A Miracle Out of Washington, DC
We Need a Comeback Election for the Ages
I don’t usually write about politics or sports here on my blog but I watched the final game of the World Series last night and when the Washington National’s won I thought that’s the kind of good news, that is, the kind of miracle we need in the upcoming presidential election. According to Dave Sheinin and Sam Fortier of the Washington Post "With one more comeback win, at the end of a comeback season for the ages, the Nationals became World Series champions. A 6-2 victory over the Houston Astros in Game 7 on Wednesday night sealed it, delivering the first baseball title for the nation’s capital since Walter Johnson’s Senators won their only one in 1924."
When I read that I thought that's what we need - A Comeback Election for the Ages. Without going into the details of why I believe we need a new president – it is clear to me and all of the thinking, growing and evolving people I know - is that the one we now have simply has to go! We need a man or woman of integrity, grit and solid presidential skills. We’ve elected this kind of president before and we can do it again. It’s all about spirit, determination and the will to win and the action we need to take to make that happen. We also need a vison to keep in our mind’s eye.
Do Your Research – Pick The Candidate You Believe In
As I say in my work, you have to see it to believe it and take action to make it real. In other words, you have to have a vision of your candidate winning the upcoming Presidential election. The First thing you have to do is decide who you are going to vote for and then you need to create a vision map of him or her winning.
How to Create a Vision Map
A vision map is a visual representation of something you want to have or have happen in your life. I advise my students to use a large piece of poster board and cut out pictures from Magazines or print off color pictures from the internet and glue these onto your poster board. You also need to put words and phrases on it that describe your vision as well. Once you have your vision map you need to put it in a prominent place in your home so that you can see it every single day.
Take other action
There are of course, many other actions you can take. You can volunteer to call people on behalf of your candidate, you can post things on Facebook, you can write a blog, you can go to rallies, you can walk your neighborhood handing out flyers and talking to voters, you can register unregistered voters, you can talk to your friends, you can work the day of the election at an election site. And the last thing you can do is Vote! Vote early or vote on the day of the election, but get out there and Vote and believe in winning just like the Washington Nationals did last night! They did it and so can we! I know we can!
