On My Mind - Thoughts on Learning, Growing and Evolving

Last week I challenged my Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn audiences to stop posting negative things about our current president or anyone else, for that matter, and to start posting more positive things and to take action to move those things that are important to you forward.  I suggested we get off our butts and do something about what concerns us.  Today I want to say that this blog is not going to be a political blog.  This blog is designed to help whoever reads it to become a learning, growing and evolving person.  But I want everyone to know that this will not be a strictly political blog.  Beginning last week I started to post things on my Facebook page that are important to me which are political and I will also continue to post things about personal and professional growth and learning as well.  That's what my work is about and politics is only a side issue to that.  So here are some ideas for you. For the past two years or so I have been getting posts on my Facebook page from various people about what is going on in our world. M uch of it has been negative regarding the current occupant of the White House.  At first I was alright about this as it made me feel better about what was going on, but over time it has become oppressive to me.  Although I am after all a democrat and supported Obama and most of my friends and family know this, they send me these things because they believe I support this.  But I don't support having my Facebook page filled with negative items regardless of who or what they are about, or which side it comes from.  Of course, some of what has come my way actually supported the current president and what this has done is created, both in my mind and the minds of the thinking and conscious folks in the world, a divisive and hateful mix of them against us .   This has to stop, now!   I have therefore created this new blog which will allow me to exp
